In yesterday’s Kronice of TVP Kraków, Dr Michał Markiewicz gave a statement regarding Off Radio Kraków and a programme created by artificial intelligence algorithms. The issue is generating considerable public interest, not least because of the risk of journalists being replaced by artificial intelligence. It should be emphasised that there is no contraindication to the creation of a radio managed by AI. These algorithms are already a useful tool in the hands of humans, and it is difficult to imagine a ban on their use. However, it is important to use these solutions sensibly and responsibly, while being aware that with their development and use, new habits will be created as to how these tools should be used in specific industries, including the media. ‘Creating a radio based on decisions made by AI and I judge it as an interesting experiment. I wonder to what extent people will be interested in listening to such prepared programmes after the wow effect and interest in ‘something new’ has passed.
