In a recent post on Law.pl, Prof. Ryszard Markiewicz points out when to disapply a provision of domestic law that conflicts with EU law – remarks made in connection with the 2022 ruling of the EU Court of Justice in the Thelen case. “5 Minutes About IP” is a joint initiative of Markiewicz & Sroczynski and Wolters Kluwer Polska, entirely devoted to issues related to intellectual property law (i.e.: copyright, industrial property and combating unfair competition). In today’s issue of Rzeczpospolita, Dr. Michal Markiewicz writes about changes to the Civil Procedure Code, which, in terms of security proceedings, have significantly affected issues related to intellectual property rights. The latest model shows “human level” in many tests and significantly outperforms previous versions. It is available as a paid version for ChatGPT+ subscribers. What exactly has changed? 👉 Image analysis and understanding: GPT-4 supports both text and images, while the previous version only supported text. 👉 Longer memory – GPT-4 has a maximum token count of 32,768 tokens (in GPT-3.5 it was 4,096 tokens), which allows it to process about 50 pages of text. 👉 Better reasoning and accuracy – with more data and memory, GPT-4 is better at reasoning and generating accurate results. 👉 In addition, it is less likely to generate unsafe results. 👉 Compared to earlier versions of Chat GPT – GPT-4 has significantly gained in response quality.
