A report entitled „Implementing a Competition Law System – Three Decades of Polish Experience” has been published by Dr. Marek Martyniszyn of Queen’s University Belfast and Prof. Maciej Bernatt of the Warsaw University. The report is an extensive study of the state of the Polish competition law, since its implementation thirty years ago until the present times. The research has been conducted in the years 201-2018 and includes interviews with numerous persons engaged in the creation and development of Polish competition law, and among them Jaroslaw Sroczynski as the first director of the Antimonopoly Office in Cracow and long-time practitioner of competition law. The research was funded by the Oxford Noble Foundation, within the framework of its Programme on Modern Poland, by means of a competitive grant award to Dr. Marek Martyniszyn in 2016.

We have the pleasure to inform that as of July 1, 2019, Ms. Klaudia Janeczek has become our new lawyer. Ms. Janeczek graduated as Master of Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.

We are pleased to inform that Mr. Jarosław Sroczyński has been named the Leading Lawyer in the field of competition law in the Legal Ranking of “Rzeczpospolita” 2019. Our law firm was again named as recommended in the field of competition law. We express our thanks to all those who voted for us!

On May 30-31, 2019, Dr. Michał Markiewicz participated as a speaker in the Scientific Symposium „IP Law and Protection of Images Rights” organised by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
He presented a paper on „Image protection under the copyright law”.
The main topics discussed during the Symposium focused on the creation of effective protection and commercialization of the image.

On May 24, 2019, Mr. Sroczyński delivered a presentation during the International Scientific Academic Conference „Security and regulation on the energy market”, organized at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź. He discussed the issues of “Cooperation of energy entrepreneurs in the field of competition law: between contract and collusion”.
