Jarosław Sroczyński participated as a guest in the dinner in honour for Advocate General Maciej Szpunar, co-organized on June 12, 2017 by Concurrences Review, Allen & Overy and Compass Lexecon at the Belvedere restaurant in Warsaw. During the dinner, Professor Szpunar delivered a speech on “Private enforcement & Competition Law”. This unique event gathered numerous Polish experts of competition law, who were discussing how the new Polish Private Enforcement Law will operate in practice.

On June 21, 2017, Mr. Sroczyński and Ms. Staszek participated in the Proability workshop “Disputes in the energy sector: problematic customers” with presentations on the alternative dispute resolution and contractual penalties, respectively.

On May 26, 2017, Mr. Sroczyński delivered a presentation during the Polish Scientific Conference “Information on the financial services market”. He discussed the issues of “Misselling of financial services in the aspect of information exchange between contracting parties”. The Conference was organized at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economy of the University of Wrocław.

On May 24, 2017, Mr. Sroczyński participated as a speaker in the Ist Polish Scientific Conference “Safety and regulation of the energy market”, organized at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź. He presented a paper on “Alternative dispute resolution in the energy sector: how to comply with the new regulations?”. The Conference gathered numerous representatives of the energy sector, both researchers and practitioners.

Mr. Sroczyński has been again included in the publication Who’s Who Legal of Global Competition Review as a recognized competition lawyer in Poland.

As in the past years, our law firm has received in the Spring of 2017 nominations in three legal rankings, published by “Rzeczpospolita”, “Chambers” and “Global Competition Review”. We were named “recommended firm” in the field of competition law.

Our law firm was again named as recommended in the field of competition law in the ranking of regulatory practices, published in March 2017 by Polityka Insight.
