On March 27-28, 2017, MM Conferences organized in Warsaw the workshop “Compliance with the recent changes in competition law”, during which Ms. Agnieszka Staszek delivered the presentation “Analysis of cooperation agreements under competition law”.

On March 16, 2017, Zuzanna Ochońska and Agnieszka Staszek were speakers at the workshop “Consumer Law in the Power Sector – Practical Aspects”, organized in Warsaw by Proability. Their presentation concerned the subject of “Contractual penalties in the electricity sale contracts”. They presented the applicable restrictions stemming from the energy and consumer laws, against the background of the pertinent decisions of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

On February 23-24, 2017, the 4th International Consumer Conference “Consumer rights in theory and practice” was held at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Honorary Patrons of the Conference were Rector of the University of Silesia prof. Andrzej Kowalczyk and Mr. Marek Niechciał, the President of the OCCP.
During the Conference, Mr. Sroczyński delivered a panel presentation entitled “Consumer Arbitration (ADR) in the energy sector: more benefits or problems?” In his presentation, Mr. Sroczyński referred to new obligations stemming from the Law on Extrajudicial Resolving of Consumer Disputes, in particular, as applicable to undertakings from the energy sector.
