The law firm Markiewicz Sroczyński Mioduszewski (MSM) was established in 2008. Its founding partners are Prof. dr hab. Ryszard Markiewicz, an outstanding expert in copyright law, long-time head of the Department of Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian University, and Jarosław Sroczyński, attorney-at-law, lawyer and economist, leading Polish competition law practitioner with international experience, first director of the Krakow branch of the Anti-Monopoly Office.
Other partners of MSM include Dr. Michał Markiewicz, attorney at law, who joined in 2019, and Marcin Mioduszewski, attorney at law, who joined in 2023. Currently, over 20 lawyers – attorneys at law, advocates, trainee lawyers and law graduates – work with MSM.
The key areas of MSM’s practice remain competition and consumer protection law and intellectual property law in the broad sense (which is related to the joining of M. Markiewicz and the expansion of consultancy to include trademarks and patents). The long-term development of our law firm – including the joining of M. Mioduszewski and his team of lawyers have helped us gain a strong position in areas such as public procurement law, telecommunications, media and technology (TMT), protection of personal rights, administrative law (including the definition of a new practice of quality law), business regulations, transactions and litigation. We also conduct economic and legal market analyses, intangible asset valuations, and in the MSM team we have a tax advisor. MSM is a local partner of several international law firms.
