Jarosław Sroczyński at the 1st Polish Competition Law Congress in Warsaw

The 1st Polish Competition Law Congress was held on April 13-15, 2015 in the Conference Center of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection in Warsaw. The Congress was organized by the Centre for Antitrust and Regulatory Studies (CARS) and TAURON Polska Energia S.A. was its main Partner.

Immediately before opening of the Congress a ceremonial session was held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of competition law in Poland, attended by the Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz and, inter alia, the First President of the Supreme Court Prof. Małgorzata Gersdorf, who delivered their speeches devoted to this anniversary.

The 1st Polish Competition Law Congress was opened by the President of the OCCP Mr. Adam Jasser and the Director of CARS Prof. Tadeusz Skoczny. Representatives of the OCCP, the academic environment, practitioners of competition law and delegates of the Polish consumer organizations participated in this event.

During the first day of the Congress, Mr. Jarosław Sroczyński delivered a speech entitled: About the need (and the traps) of ”a more interdisciplinary approach” to public and private competition laws.
